Amanda Brugel

Pointe Claire resides in a uninhabited area of Montreal Island called West Island. Many people unfamiliar with the word frequently think that there is a separate island west of Montreal but in fact this part of West Island is home to every aspect of the Lachine city. Lachine west. Amanda Brugel is said to have been born on West Island. But it's not the case. Brugel lived in Courtice close to Oshawa. Her early ambition was to be a dancer but an increase in her height led to her growing beyond the dancers she was with. The Toronto Star article revealed she's 6 feet 1 inch tall and has heels. When I reached the height of my male counterparts, I stopped. The Brugel is one of the former dancers who shifted to acting. Her teacher from high school was the one who pushed her to take the next step. The teacher was the one who encouraged her to try out to play the character of Anne for their school's annual production. She was able to audition and be cast in the role of Anne of Green Gables. It was the Fine Arts Talent Scholarship led her to York University, where she studied Theatre and received the Bachelors in Fine Arts in 2000. Through the years that followed, Brugel has landed roles in more than 60 productions across both small and large screens drawing the most media attention after she was offered the character in the role of Rita in the award-winning television series The Handmaid's Tale (pictured below). Brugel was only seen on a few instances in the initial season of the show The Handmaid's Tale. She was the only Canadian member.
